Directions: The Montana written examination tests your knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and driving safety rules. It determines whether you are prepared to operate a vehicle in accordance with Montana law.

The knowledge test consists of 33 multiple choice questions that are important to the safe operation of a motor vehicle and Montana laws and driving practices. The questions are based on the information provided in the manual.

A passing score consist of at least 27 correct answers.

Drivers who eat and drink while driving:
Have trouble driving slow
Have no driving errors
Are better drivers because they are not hungry
Have trouble controlling their vehicles
You are stopped behind other vehicles waiting at a stop sign. When the intersection is clear:
You may go through the intersection slowly without stopping if there is no other traffic.
You must stop again at the stop sign or stop line.
You may follow the vehicle ahead without stopping again.
You may proceed through the intersection without stopping again.
